Distributed Cloud | Google Apigee Factory Business Developer

We are seeking a talented Apigee Factory Sales Lead who will be responsible to work alongside Devoteam G Cloud Stakeholders and Google/Apigee Stakeholders in order to expand the book of business of the Devoteam G Cloud Apigee Factory, located in Portugal.
You will play a key role in helping both clients and prospects reach the potential of Google Cloud, develop creative Apigee solutions to solve their business challenges, and problem-solve any potential technical roadblocks, as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement API strategies aligned with business goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with a sales-driven mentality, will leverage the Apigee expertise to architect, develop and manage APIs, ensuring optimal performance and security.
You will act as the glue that binds the sales team with the customer on one hand and with the Apigee Factory Delivery team on the other. You are the technical point of contact for a customer. You are engaged from the very first discovery conversation where you explore what the customer is looking to achieve. You take that introduction to identifying the solution, building the right architecture, demonstrating the idea, presenting the solution to multiple stakeholders, accompanying a proof of concept execution (and participating hands-on), and finally overseeing it all while the dream gets implemented.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related Software Engineering field or equivalent practical experience;
- Experience with architectures using cloud services in API Management or System Integration;
- Know-how of Cloud Market Dynamics and Customer Buying Behaviour;
- Expertise in Technical International Business Management (required);
- Sales or PreSales experience is mandatory.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or other technical field;
- More than 7 years of experience delivering projects and/or designing architectures in the API Management or System Integration areas:
- Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems is also valued
- Experience with major cloud providers (GCP preferred);
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#
- Knowledge in Integration Protocols and Standards: RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL, OpenAPI Specification
- Understanding of messaging protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, or JMS
- Experience with data formats like JSON, XML, and YAML.
- Knowledge in Authentication Methods: Single Sign-On, Standardised authentication protocols such as OIDC, SAML CHAP, JSON Web Token (JWT) and API Authentication Methods (API keys, OAuth 2.0), Mutual Authentication (mTLS), etc;
- Certifications in well-known market API Management & Integration solutions (Mulesoft AnyPoint, Apigee, Kong, TIBCO Integration, IBM API Connect, etc.) are valued;
