Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

This position offers the opportunity to be part of the department HC-CS/XCT (Home Comfort / Combustion Systems / Engineering Controls) which is responsible for the development of control units for heating appliances. Within the department several SAFe trains have been set up consisting of multidisciplinary scrum teams, responsible for Hardware (mechanical and electrical) and Software (control application and embedded) development.

As Hardware Engineer you are involved in the entire hardware development process, from drawing up requirements up to maintenance of the product in series production. 

Your responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test electronics;
  • Documenting solutions directions and design, specifically with safety related parts;
  • Recognize possible process and product improvements and actively implement such improvements;
  • Selection of components, drawing schematics (including simulations) and re-viewing of PCB lay-outs;
  • Verification and integration testing;
  • Provide support and problem solving during EMC testing;
  • Active participation and contributing to all design related activities. 

Qualifications

What distinguishes you: 

  • Education: Academic degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering; 
  • Personality: Result-oriented, creative and strong in communication;
  • Enjoy working in an internationally distributed development team (e.g. PT, NL, DE, IN) and want to make a difference;
  • Working method: Highly self-motivated, flexible, with focus on continuous improvement and learning, and ability to understand complex systems;
  • Enthusiasm: have passion and interest in the latest trends and technologies in the electronics industry;
  • Languages: good Portuguese and English knowledge, both written and spoken.
