As part of our expansion strategy, we seek an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Portugal. This individual should be ambitious, curious, and possess strong teamwork skills. They will collaborate closely with our local partner to oversee the ongoing manufacturing processes whilst supporting the UK based engineering team. Additionally, they will work alongside our design team in the UK to develop future designs.

 Ability to demonstrate a technical proficiency in machine control & functional principles of
safety
 Exceptional time management skills & organisational abilities
 Experience in Eplan and Autocad drawing
 Approved knowledge in management and automation tools
 Experience in Quality Control
 Excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholders
 A proven ability to problem solve & make quick decisions under time constraints
 Good attention to detail & the ability to reply efficiently & without delay
 Great listening skills & able to interpret customer needs
 High attention to detail & an analytical mind
 Strong organisational skills
 An optimistic & engaging outlook
 Sound mechanical comprehension skills

The Role
This role would suit a motivated and dynamic Electrical Design Engineer, who enjoys creating
industry leading solutions for our customers.
This includes:
 Coordinate activities with the rest of the business
 Communicate with external & internal stakeholders
 Design of Electrical Systems
 Preparation of Bill of Materials
 Standardization of electrical diagrams (Eplan and Autocad)
 Conclude Technical Documentation
 Preparation of manufacturing and installation specifications
 Planning of electrical and controls installations
 Testing and commissioning on customer sites
 Preparation of validation & test documentation
 Thorough understanding of SHEQ standards
 Support the local production team
 Regular interstate travel as required

Your Skills
The successful candidate will have:
 Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Electrician Trade Certificate (must be
recognised in Portugal)
 Sound knowledge of requirements of ISO 60204 & ISO 13849
 Exposure to Automation & Materials Handling Systems
 Knowledge of EPlan desirable or similar electrical software package
 Experience in Selection & Configuration of Variable Speed Drives (VSD's)
 Able to demonstrate a technical proficiency in machine control, and functional principles of
safety
 Mechanical comprehension skills
 Ability to work as part of a team in a projects-based environment as part of a multi-disciplinary
team

For this specific job description we are offering:
 2.200€ as gross salary
 9,60€ daily meal allowance to be paid on meal card
