For the efficient transportation of passengers and goods, we combine specialization in automation and electrification by rail, rail vehicles, turnkey systems, consulting, and consumer services.


We are looking for a System Manager in Project (m/f/d) for Train Planning Systems, to join our team


The pivotal role of the System Manager in Project (SMiP) is to coordinate both system and team management, ensuring consistency throughout the entire project execution phase to mitigate technical risks effectively.

SMiP is a key member of the project's core team, directly reporting to the Project Manager (PM).

Responsabilities

As SMiP, you will lead a project System Engineering team. You are responsible for the overall technical solution delivered within the project, linking the specific contractual requirements with our standard product and its releases. You build up a clear understanding of the project scope from requirement approval to functional acceptance and have experience in identifying and arguing for change requests. You are the interface between the customer, our PM, the Product Lifecycle Management team, and the Development team regarding all technical aspects of the project. You act as contact partner for all questions and requests related to the integration, configuration, and deployment of our software product at the customer site.

Your profile

Degree in Railway Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Proven experience with the integration and technical deployment of software products into customer system landscapes preferably around traffic, railway and mobility. You are experienced in fulfilling use cases and requirements with product functionality. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. Affinity with IT, data structures and software integration. Proficient in written and spoken English, German language skills are a plus. Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally.
