Job Description

The Lakhani Group, a leading hotel development and construction company based in Lisbon, is seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Lawyer to join our legal team. As we expand our operations in partnership with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, we need an expert who can manage and oversee a wide range of legal matters, including corporate, business, labor, and real estate law. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional to contribute to high-profile projects in the hospitality and construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, business transactions, and contract negotiations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, and legal documents related to the company’s operations and projects.
  • Advise on matters of real estate law, including property acquisitions, leases, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and provide legal guidance on employment contracts, labor disputes, and workplace regulations.
  • Manage and advise on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and other corporate restructuring activities.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations with external parties.
  • Oversee compliance with local, national, and international laws related to corporate, business, and real estate operations.
  • Provide legal risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate risks in business operations and real estate projects.
  • Collaborate with external legal firms, auditors, and consultants when needed.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, and legal best practices to ensure the company’s legal compliance.


RequisitosRequirements:
  • Law degree from an accredited university and admission to the Bar in Portugal.
  • Proven experience as a Corporate Lawyer with expertise in business law, labor law, and real estate law (preferably in construction or hospitality industries).
  • Strong knowledge of Portuguese corporate law, contract law, and commercial law.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and real estate transactions.
  • Expertise in labor laws and regulations, with experience in advising on employee relations and disputes.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously, with a proactive and strategic approach.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is required (other languages are a plus).
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Requirements
