Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management. The Weldments and Covers team is part of the Nacelle procurement department. The Weldments team consists of people located in Denmark, India, China, Brazil and US.

Responsibilities
You will join an experienced team with a high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your daily activities will be characterized by a very high activity level and requirements to engage in and prioritize between multiple different projects. Overall expected deliverables include: 

Lead the commodity team and commodity strategy primarily in Europe on all NPI projects Supplier account manager in cooperation with our Weldments suppliers, including defining supplier account plans in collaboration with suppliers  Develop and strengthen our partnerships to continuously increase value through the improved collaboration, footprint, etc. Early supplier involvement - focusing on complexity reduction, design to cost, standardization and capacity risks  Stakeholder management, both internal and external  Engage in cross functional projects across the organization e.g., new production introduction, modularization, localization, design-to-cost and cost out initiatives  Facilitate negotiations end-2-end with involvement of your key stakeholders to bring cost down with focus on what is best for Vestas. And as a result, secure world class contract management

Qualifications

A degree in either Supply Chain Management, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, or alike, and holds solid work experience within Strategic Purchasing As a Commodity Specialist, you are expected to show the great example and challenge the organization in our ways of working. Furthermore, below qualifications are expected Experience with strategic procurement or related supply chain activities  Experience within commodity management, including commodity strategy development  Comprehensive communication skills including fluency in English (both orally and in writing)  Proven record of stakeholder management We prefer SAP experience, but it is not a requirement

Work location: Aarhus Denmark – with opportunities to travel globally to existing and new suppliers around the world.
