Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Procurement Business Process Teams develop and deploy procurement processes, systems, reporting and audits compliance. They drive continuous improvement throughout the procurement function, develop and maintain procurement systems, tools and databases such as vendor master files, e-procurement quotation tool, procurement web page, supplier portal, SharePoint and the like. They conduct regular external benchmarking to stay abreast of procurement best practices, run procurement reports and perform analysis to identify trends, opportunities, threats and needed course correction as well as lead facilitation of procurement training and development.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Overall coordination of the complete manufacturing processes (assembly / supplied components & processes), at internal suppliers and/ or at external suppliers with a focus on technology and procurement tasks. Supplier- and sub supplier sourcing support decision Prepare calculation input for finance in alignment with responsible Purchasing team. Functionally manage team of New Product Buyers as well as Commodity Buyers. Ensure proper transfer of new products and processes to manufacturing/ commodity teams Own and support cost reduction initiatives Interface to Procurement for all functions and commodity of the Project Team

Requirements:

University degree in engineering or business administration or equivalent technical and/or commercial level of expertise 5+ years professional experience; additional experience in a Technical Procurement and/ or Project Management function will be an advantage Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels Demonstrated technical and commercial mindset Proactive, dynamic, a team player that can work seamlessly, externally and internally, throughout all levels of the organization Excellent analytical skills coupled with a strong attention to detail Excellent communication and presentation skills Fluent language skills in English; German language can be an advantage
