Sumário / Job Summary The Environmental Officer will support the preparation and technical review of the RECAPE, ensuring environmental and social compliance with national and international standards. The role includes aligning project components with IFC Performance Standards and ESG frameworks, contributing to due diligence and sustainable project implementation.Descrição da Função / Job Description Responsabilidade / Role and Responsabilities The Environmental Officer will be responsible, in the short term, for supporting the preparation, verification, and technical review of the various components of the RECAPE, including the support of the social component. Their role will be to ensure technical consistency among the different environmental and social areas, guaranteeing compliance with the DIA and applicable legislation. In parallel, this position will involve the analysis and alignment of environmental components with the IFC Performance Standards and other international ESG frameworks, ensuring that the project meets the requirements for environmental and social due diligence (DD) related to financing decisions. The Environmental Officer should have experience in evaluating the compliance of Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) and verifying that projects have the appropriate procedures in place to manage environmental risks and impacts. With experience in biodiversity and environmental management, the Environmental Officer will contribute to the integration of these dimensions into the project's technical decisions and to the alignment between technical teams, regulatory authorities, and financiers, ensuring that the project is developed in accordance with international environmental and social standards. Qualificações e Requisitos / Qualifications and Education Requirements Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental assessment and management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, mining, or energy projects. Proven experience with Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (EIA/ESIA), environmental compliance and monitoring, and biodiversity management. Strong understanding of IFC Performance Standards and other international ESG frameworks. Certification in ISO 14001 Environmental Management or equivalent is desirable. Fluency in English and strong technical writing and coordination skills required. Six months fixed-term contract
