The Role: Senior Data Engineer Location: Lisbon Work Model: 4 days onsite (first 3 months), then is 3 days a week onsite - Lisbon Oriente Sector: Financial Services Languages: English (B2 - C1) Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there Your Profile Senior Professsional strong expertise in PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL Hands-on experience with Oracle, Postgres, and AWS database solutions (RDS, Aurora, S3) Proven experience with multi-terabyte databases and performance tuning Solid understanding of database design principles, data modelling , and normalization Knowledge of database security, access controls, and encryption Experience with Informatica is a plus Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Technical Environment Oracle Database (on-premises and cloud) PostgreSQL (large-scale environments) AWS database solutions: RDS, Aurora, S3 SQL tuning, indexing, query optimization Data integration tools (Informatica preferred) What You Will Be Doing Design, develop, and maintain robust database procedures for data import, processing, and retrieval using PL/SQL and PL/pgSQL Work with multi-terabyte databases , ensuring efficient storage and retrieval Support developers in database-related tasks, including SQL queries, model design, and indexing Maintain comprehensive database documentation , including ER diagrams and data dictionaries Participate in occasional on-call rotations Why Join Us?
