Role Description This is a full-time on-site Finance Business Partner role located in Funchal, Madeira Island. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial and business planning, utilizing analytical skills to provide accurate financial reporting and insights to support our clients operational & strategic decisions. 1) Educational Background Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields. Certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), FRM (Financial Risk Manager), or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are a plus. 2) Professional Experience 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or other related fields. Proven track record in financial modeling, valuation, and performance analysis. Experience in working with financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and KPIs. Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. 3) Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Excel , including financial modeling, pivot tables, power querry, and complex formulas. Strong knowledge of financial analysis tools such as SQL, Business Objects, Thinkcell, and advanced PowerPoint for presentations. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.G., SAP, Oracle). Ability to use data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to present financial data clearly and effectively. 4) Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Experience with scenario analysis, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions. High-level attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture perspective on financial performance. 5) Communication and Presentation Skills Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, including senior leadership. Skilled in preparing and delivering financial reports and presentations that provide key insights for business decisions. Ability to tailor financial information for different audiences, both internal and external. 6) Project Management and Leadership Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively. Experience working cross-functionally with other departments such as marketing, operations, and legal to support financial strategies. Leadership potential or experience leading small teams or projects. 7) Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen Strong understanding of business operations and ability to translate financial data into actionable business strategies. A good sense of identifying business opportunities and risks from a financial standpoint. Ability to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes from a financial perspective. 8) Adaptability and Learning Orientation Willingness to stay updated on the latest trends in finance, regulations, and technology. Ability to adapt to new systems, tools, and business changes. Continuous learning mindset with a focus on professional development. 9. Attention to Detail and Accuracy Precision in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to catch errors and inconsistencies. Strong understanding of risk management and internal controls. 10) Language Skills Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
