About the Role Within BNP Paribas CIB (Corporate Institutional Banking) FICC, a leading global franchise servicing Institutional and Corporate clients across credit origination, syndication, and secondary market trading, the Sustainable Capital Markets Execution team specializes in execution of sustainable financing instruments (sustainable bonds and loans). The team executes sustainable financing solutions aligned with evolving ESG standards and market trends, and acts as strategic expertise for sustainable finance to foster a greener economy and influence market evolution. Main Responsibilities Provide execution support with advanced expertise and excellence: advise on and oversee transaction execution, frame, design and lead sustainable finance mandates. Perform ESG profile and strategy analysis of issuers/borrowers, provide structuring recommendations, and produce high‑quality client presentations. Keep abreast of sustainable finance market developments (market practices, green taxonomies, regulatory environment) and propose innovative solutions. Direct and supervise projects, share strategic insights from market data, deepen knowledge of sustainable financing and compliance, and analyze internal reporting data. Manage internal relationships across teams, support junior members, lead decision making and problem solving, act as escalation point, and raise sustainable finance awareness within the business. Assist strengthening the Portugal platform, ensuring optimized setup of the Sustainable Capital Markets Solutions team and participate in local initiatives. Qualifications Master's degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting, Agriculture and Environmental Science, or related field. 5-7 years of professional experience in financial analysis and advisory. Fluency in English (oral and written) – mandatory. Expert knowledge in: financial markets structuring; sustainable finance and CSR integration; transition to low‑carbon economy; data business analytics; debt capital markets (bonds and loans).
