We're looking for a backend-focused developer with strong PHP , Laravel or WordPress foundations. You'll work on business logic, databases, APIs , integrations, and internal tools, collaborating with frontend engineers to deliver complete products.

Frontend experience is a “good to have”, not a requirement. You do not need to be a React or Next.js specialist, or a UI designer, to succeed in this role.

What you’ll do

As a Back-End Developer at Buzzvel, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team working on custom platforms, internal tools, and smart automation systems. You will:

Build and maintain backend applications and services using PHP, Laravel, WordPress, Python, or some headless TypeScript CMS technologies.

Implement business rules, authentication, authorization, and reliable data workflows.

Design and consume APIs, connect third-party services, and handle webhooks and integration failures safely.

Design relational databases, write migrations, and improve query performance and data integrity.

Use queues, scheduled tasks, and caching where they solve a real problem.

Build internal tools and administrative workflows using suitable frameworks or existing platforms.

Contribute to CMS integrations and automation work according to project needs.

Collaborate with frontend developers on data contracts, validation, error handling, and integration.

Write automated tests, review pull requests, and document important implementation decisions.

Things we are looking for

Professional experience delivering and maintaining backend applications , with strong practical backend-like skills (such as PHP , Laravel , WordPress , Python or Typescript ).

Confidence with Laravel application structure, Eloquent, validation, authentication, authorization, queues, and scheduled tasks (or even equivalent WordPress/Python/TypeScript headless CMS skills ).

Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals, including relationships, constraints, indexes, migrations, and query optimization.

Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating external services.

Understanding of application security, access control, input validation, and safe secret handling.

Experience writing automated tests for business rules, persistence, and API behavior .

Comfortable with Git , pull requests, code reviews, and organized delivery.

Familiarity with Linux environments , application logs, and deployment fundamentals.

Practical use of AI-assisted development tools, with the judgment to validate their output.

Good English communication skills for working with international clients and teammates.

Ownership and clear communication : raise blockers early, explain trade-offs, and verify your work before handing it over.

Experience with WordPress/Python or TypeScript headless CMS , including custom plugins, ACF , and integrations; or with Statamic , Payload CMS , and Shopify .

Python scripting , n8n , or other automation tools.

GraphQL or experience connecting CRM, payment, and subscription services.

Laravel Filament/WordPress or any other tools for building administrative interfaces.

Redis , caching, background-worker operations, or search integrations such as Meilisearch.

Docker , CI/CD or any web server.

You don't need to know every tool in our ecosystem. Strong backend fundamentals, reliable delivery, and willingness to learn matter more than checking every box. Frontend skills are welcome but do not replace the backend requirements.
