Decskill was founded in 2014 as an IT outsourcing consultancy, with the main mission of delivering value through knowledge. DECSKILL operates in three main areas:
- DECSKILL TALENT, through which we provide our clients with an extension of their IT teams in technological areas;
- DECSKILL BOOST, through which we provide specialized development to increase capacity and optimize Time-to-Market, where we create and manage teams that deliver according to your needs, at the desired speed;
- DECSKILL CONNECT, through which we provide our clients with consultancy, implementation and management services for information technology infrastructures.
About the project:
As a senior data scientist, you will be responsible for leading the design of solutions and managing the teams that develop them as part of a project. You will also be responsible for selecting a team with the right skill set or, alternatively, ensuring that the team acquires the necessary skills in a timely manner. You must also ensure the proper delivery, monitoring and governance of solutions using MLOps.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage data and domain knowledge to solve business problems and create quantifiable value;
- Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, create analytical models and design appropriate solutions;
- Build and maintain (or lead the development of) optimization models based on data, experiments, predictive algorithms and capacity constraint models;
- Lead teams to deliver models using MLOps best practices;
- Communicate final recommendations and support decision making.
Requirements:
- A degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Science);
- More than 5 years of scripting with one of these languages (e.g. Python, Pyspark, Spark-mllib);
- Experience with packages such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Dplyr, Ggplot2;
- More than 5 years' experience in projects as a data scientist or in a role closely related to data (e.g. analysis);
- Professional experience with Java, Scala or Spark;
- Experience of working with and leading teams in a project environment;
Nice to have:
- 1+ years of SQL experience;
- Experience in distribution-based architectures, such as Cloudera, AWS, Microsoft Azure Cloud and GCP (Google Cloud Platform), among others;
- Knowledge of data governance.
