Work Location Details Working in Madeira in a shared office space, remote in Portugal , or remote in a Portuguese time zone-friendly location Job Summary The AI & Automation Enablement Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent automation solutions across Allia Health Group . Reporting to Senior/Principal AI Engineers and later to the Director of AI & Automation, this role focuses on enabling business teams with AI-driven process automation, workflow orchestration, and agent-based solutions. The successful candidate will bridge technical execution with business enablement, ensuring scalable and impactful adoption of AI and automation technologies. Key Responsibilities Develop and deploy automation solutions using UiPath, N8N, and similar tools Build AI-enabled workflows leveraging Google Cloud’s Vertex AI and other modern AI platforms Partner with data and product teams to identify automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead Integrate automation into business processes, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and security Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical automation designs Implement monitoring, error handling, and reporting for automation systems Contribute to the standardization and best practices for AI & automation enablement across the organization Required Qualifications Ideal Degree(s): BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field Experience: 2–4 years in AI/automation engineering roles Must-Have: Strong experience with automation platforms (UiPath, N8N, or equivalent) Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for automation and integration tasks Familiarity with cloud services (Google Cloud preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable) Hands-on experience integrating APIs and building workflow orchestration solutions Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and structured/unstructured data handling Basic knowledge of MLOps practices and deploying AI models into automation workflows Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with business stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Preferred: Google Cloud; Looker; Vertex AI; UiPath; N8N; CI/CD with GitHub & Google Cloud; React; PostgreSQL; Docker; Kubernetes; and other role-adjacent tools Candidates with AWS experience are welcome but Google Cloud is preferred Physical Requirements Working in Madeira in a shared office space, remote in Portugal, or remote in a Portuguese time zone-friendly location Flexibility to shift portions of the day to increase time zone overlap with US CST time zone Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Allia Health Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
