We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join our Client’s team under a remote work model. In this international project, you will collaborate with distributed teams based in Europe and the United States, working in a large-scale, high-impact technological environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java (8+) Contribute to highly available, high-transactional, and scalable platforms Work in environments with high concurrency and high availability requirements Integrate and consume services using client-server protocols such as REST and SOAP Apply software design patterns and reusable engineering best practices Collaborate closely with cross-functional, international engineering teams Actively participate in continuous improvement of system performance, reliability, and code quality Required Qualifications: 3 to 10+ years of professional experience with Java (Middle, Middle+, or Senior level) Strong background in object-oriented programming (experience with other OOP languages is a plus) Experience or exposure to technologies such as Scala, Kafka, Akka, Memcached, Apache Storm, Apache Cassandra, Zookeeper, RabbitMQ , or similar Proven experience working with high-concurrency and high-availability systems Solid understanding of design patterns and reusable software design practices Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and problem-solving skills What We Value Beyond Technical Skills: Strong soft skills and a true team-player mindset Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus) Common sense, accountability, and passion for solving complex problems Willingness to contribute to a healthy, collaborative, and people-first team environment Why Join Us?
