Senior Civil Engineer

Quadrante is looking to strengthen its Transport Infrastructures Business Unit by recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer for the Special Structures division, based at our Oporto office. With both national and international projects of varying scales and typologies, Quadrante offers a unique professional experience in the Portuguese engineering market. Responsibilities: Lead the development of complex structural projects, with particular focus on bridges, viaducts and other special structures, taking technical responsibility for the proposed solutions; Perform and validate advanced structural analyses, including static, dynamic, and seismic assessments, using specialised software (SAP2000, Robot, among others) and ensuring the quality of analytical models; Define and optimise structural and geotechnical solutions, including foundations, soil–structure interaction, and construction methods, ensuring technical and economic efficiency; Ensure project compliance with national and international codes and standards, applying industry best practices and meeting client- and sector-specific requirements; Prepare and review technical reports, design briefs, specifications, and tender documentation, ensuring technical rigour and consistency; Support and guide project teams, providing mentoring to junior engineers and ensuring technical alignment within the team and across disciplines; Promote innovation and continuous improvement, keeping up to date with technological advancements and proposing enhancements to design methods, internal processes, and project tools. Profile: Master's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Structural Engineering; Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Professional experience in the development of structural bridges design projects (Minimum of 10 years); Professional experience with SAP2000/Robot, AutoCAD, Revit or Allplan (valued); Ability to adapt and work effectively in a team, combined with a strong sense of responsibility and autonomy; Focus on technical excellence, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
