Data & Analytics Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Lisbon, Portugal (hybrid, 50% on-site)
Employment: Full-time
We are seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability and operations of cloud-based data processing and analytics services. The role focuses on Azure infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, observability, and resolving complex Level 2 and Level 3 incidents.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
- Improve deployment pipelines, operational automation, monitoring, and service reliability.
- Support and troubleshoot data and analytics platforms in production.
- Investigate complex incidents and contribute to root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Monitor cloud services, identify risks, and improve performance, availability, and security.
- Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and application teams.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Terraform.
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Azure data services such as Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hubs, or Storage Accounts.
- Experience with Datadog or Azure Monitor.
- Scripting with Python or Bash, and experience with Linux and Windows environments.
- Knowledge of cloud security and production operations.
- Full-time availability and ability to work 50% on-site in Lisbon.
