The company focuses on three main areas of services: IT Outsourcing (providing scalable integration of experienced professionals), Project Implementation (custom software development, web, and mobile applications), and AI Consulting (helping organizations implement and optimize Artificial Intelligence strategies, from feasibility assessments to building predictive systems). iQube operates with a flexible, customer-centric approach, supporting both Portuguese national operations and international customers through a nearshore model. Outsystems Tech Lead (Lisbon) We are seeking an experienced and certified OutSystems Tech Lead to provide technical direction, architectural oversight, and hands-on development for our most complex low-code projects. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring our solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices (e.g., Clean Architecture, SOLID principles). This role is ideal for a Senior Developer ready to step up into a leadership and mentorship position. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture Serve as the technical authority on one or more OutSystems project teams, guiding design and implementation decisions. Define and enforce best practices for OutSystems development, including performance optimization, security, and component reusability across the factory. Review and approve architectural designs, ensuring scalability and adherence to company standards and OutSystems best practices. Provide deep, hands-on technical expertise to solve complex development challenges. Code Quality and Delivery Conduct rigorous code reviews and implement quality gates to ensure high code quality, maintainability, and security. Drive the adoption of modern DevOps practices, including automated testing, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD) within the OutSystems environment. Work closely with the Project Manager/Scrum Master to estimate effort, plan sprints, and manage technical debt. Mentorship and Team Growth Mentor and coach junior and mid-level OutSystems Developers, fostering technical growth and sharing knowledge of advanced platform features. Document technical specifications, architectural decisions, and development guidelines for the team. Stay current with the latest OutSystems platform features, Forge components, and industry trends. Requirements 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience developing complex applications using the OutSystems platform. Valued Certification: OutSystems Professional Developer or higher (Associate Tech Lead or Tech Lead is a significant advantage). Proven experience in designing enterprise-grade solutions (e.g., integrating with external systems, microservices architecture). Solid understanding of core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and database design (SQL). Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
