The
Stem Cell Bioengineering group at iBET is seeking highly motivated
Post-doctoral Scientists to join the team.

As a Post-Doctoral Scientist, you will:

• Bring expertise in development of cellular or gene-based products for advanced therapies and join a dynamic team at iBET;
• Advance iBET's pipeline through the production and characterization of cell and cellderived products;
• Have a major role in cell and process optimization, focused on new methods and technologies to significantly enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and timelines.

We will soon expand our R&D activity with the inauguration of the new iBET Biofarma building, equipped with state-of-the-art technology in our field.

Role Description:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Contribute to cell therapy research projects inserted in multidisciplinary research programs;
• Develop new or improved bioprocesses for upcoming products and deepen scientific

understanding;

• Implement process characterization tools for continuous improvement of production process and

product quality within project timelines;

• Highly autonomous and productive in performing laboratory research or method development;
• Effectively collaborate and communicate with colleagues within and across functions;
• Review/Draft technical protocols and reports, data capture records, and SOPs;
• Understand and adhere to institutional standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, GxP compliance where applicable;
• Direct mentorship of MSc, PhD students.

Admission Requirements:

Education and Experience:
Ph.
D. in Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field concluded no longer than three years ago.

Essential Skills:

• Laboratory experience with mammalian cell culture, namely extensive knowledge of and hands

on experience with human stem cells or immune cells;

• Knowledge of different cell culture systems and bioreactors;
• Experience in analytical characterization of cell products including phenotypic analysis (flow cytometry), gene expression, immunofluorescence;
• Strong motivation to work in a fastpaced environment and ability to adjust workload based on changing priorities, coupled with a flexible mindset and willingness to learn;
• Accurate with strong attention to detail;
• Proven ability to demonstrate scientific initiative and creativity in research or development activities;
• Fluent English spoken and written.

Desirable Skills:

• Sound knowledge of culture monitoring techniques (stateofart scientific literature and

techniques);

• Application of Design of Experiment principles;
• Familiar with data analysis software.
