Your work-life opportunity:

You will be in charge of the

XL Groceries business unit in Glovo PT specialized in

on-demand delivery of big basket orders, providing to partners

picking, packing and delivery logistics services with same-day and next day and beyond delivery in less than 2 hours.

Our current goal is to build

the leader of XL operations in Portugal, you will be responsible for defining all aspects of the business, from P&L management, overall strategy to procurement & picker operations. Basically, the success of the country's operation will rely on you

Ability to influence, analytical skills, and exceptional communication and leadership skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Own and manage XL business in Portugal: P&L, Operations, Strategy and Team.
  • Setup and scale operational processes and frameworks for category management, operations, and other functional areas in the market.
  • Define and reach business goals, mainly focused on business growth, profitability, and stakeholders' management.
  • Analyse metrics and implement projects to improve operational and financial metrics. We are a data-driven company.
  • Work closely with HQ teams to resolve any operational, service issues or overall improvements.
  • Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference

You have:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field. 3+ years of previous relevant experience in logistics, operations, retail, project management, business development with at least 1+ of them managing fastpaced teams.
  • Experience in coaching and building teams.
  • Proven track record of work in similar positions (Country Manager, Head of Operations).
  • Analytical thinker who loves to solve problems (advanced Excel skills are a must).
  • Be an owner and proactively find solutions to business problems.
  • Be organized. Deliver stuff on time & handle stress well.
  • Excellent communication & written skills in English and Portuguese.
  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
