A Snapshot of Your Day


The Product Manager for the Vibration portfolio is responsible for the development of Siemens Energy's vibration products - currently named VIB3000 machinery protection and CM500 condition monitoring.

Focus is to continue the current activities on the portfolio with a clear mandate to improve and innovate.

Hereby he will be responsible for the general PLM process as well as leading concrete R&D measures in an agile environment.

Within his responsibilities reside the planning, the execution and the tracking of R&D measures.

The active participation in the development of the product and portfolio strategy for different industries is part of the role.

Working side-by-side with the commercialization managers and the technical experts the Product Manager has a critical role in establishing and executing the product strategy which will allow Siemens Energy to significantly develop its vibration business.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Create and maintain a rolling roadmap for the products in SE's vibration portfolio considering market requirements from a financial, functional and nonfunctional perspective, including execution and support processes to for the business roadmap and standards from technical portfolio management
  • Standardize license, software and service concepts for support and delivery to create an easy to sell ("flow") product
  • Solution Architecture and technical sales support for complex implementation projects for her / his products.
  • Coordinate PLM aspects with Development and service and support organizations, as well as first point of contact for her / his product across the various divisions and business units of Siemens Energy.
  • Representing and promoting her / his product in social media, trade shows and conferences.
  • Supports management with competitive and technology analysis as well as technical integration concepts.
  • Support Sales and Management in aligning products with overall business strategy and strategic goals.
  • Support other Product Managers in finding synergies between existing projects to facilitate rapid innovation.
  • Facilitate healthy knowledge sharing between Siemens (as OEM) and customers.

What You Bring

  • Master's level education in energy/energy systems or associated fields
  • Deep understanding for vibration products, preferably working with an industry player in a similar role before.
  • A good understanding (5+ years direct experience) of the power energy, Oil & Gas, chemical and/ or petrochemicals industry within a consulting or engineering environment.
  • Proven track record in Product Management or associated fields
  • Sales talent in customer situations as well as internal
  • Excellent communication skills, good command of written and spoken English
  • Selfdriven and intrinsically motivated to take ownership of work

You will work in a global and diverse team with an open approach that will constantly support you and your development.

We regularly exchange ideas, learn from each other, and achieve more as a team than each individual alone. The main hub of the team and the global test laboratory is in Germany (Frankfurt).

Gas Services
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
