THE LAKHANI GROUP is looking to strengthen its team by recruiting a Tax Accountant.


We are a hotel development and construction group based in Lisbon, specialising in the execution of highly complex hotel construction/refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing tax payments
  • Calculating and monitoring tax returns
  • Complete quarterly and annual tax reports
  • Organise and update the company's tax database
  • Recommending tax strategies in line with business goals
  • Prepare the necessary documentation for tax payments and tax returns
  • Share financial data with the accounting department
  • Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and monitor taxrelated changes
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Carry out tax forecasts for senior managers

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or similarFluency in Portuguese and in English
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and tax bookkeeping
  • Familiarity with accounting software packages
  • Computer literacy (mainly MS Office and Excel)
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Industry certification will be favoured
