Main Tasks

  • Within Group Tax, be the focal point of contact for, amongst others, the following tax reporting matters for internal and external stakeholders, and ensure they are actioned on a timely basis as per deadlines set by the Group Tax department;
  • Liaise with and manage the working relationship with tax authorities and internal and external auditors during routine audits and ad hoc enquiries on tax reporting;
  • Take initiative or leadership on tax reporting related matters to improve processes and accuracy of data collected for the company to lead in terms of tax reporting, including in assisting in the development of tax reporting software, especially in light of known or forecasted legislative developments;
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of tax reporting legislation, procedures, and communicate/train internal stakeholders accordingly (mainly finance teams);
  • Maintaining an effective and efficient tax chart of accounts to facilitate the retrieve of data for tax reporting purpose;
  • Providing advice to internal stakeholders on tax reporting/computation and tax accounting matters upon request; and
  • Working alongside senior tax members on other tax reporting files.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years + dedicated reporting experience in an international environment.
  • Strong tax accounting experience, especially in tax provisioning, deferred taxation and tax reporting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS standards and particularly IAS1
  • Strong skills in MS office software; experience in ERP and consolidation systems would be appreciated.
  • The ability to work wholly in English.
  • The capacity to be flexible, wellorganized and take ownership.
  • Good project management and working to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team; sharing knowledge and leading/mentoring junior colleagues.
