• Microbiological techniques including bacterial growth of anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms
• Biological processes including biofilms formation, bioreactor setup, bioremediation and biogas production.
• Analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot experimental results to ensure high quality deliverables.
• Ensure that laboratory and experimental records (databases and enotebooks) are up to date.
• Design experimental procedures, draft protocols and SOPs.

• MSc in biological engineering, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry or similar
• Eligibility for IEFP's Activar internship
• Enthusiasm to work in the projects focused on environmental microbiology
• Understand the concepts of bioreactor technology, bioremediation, biofuel, etc.
• Knowledge of applied microbiology and/or environmental biotechnology
• Excellent organization skills and sense of responsibility.
• Strong and clear written and oral communication.
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Office programs.
• Fluent in English speaking and writing.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced, multitasked environment while consistently maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
• Experience with bioreactors and manipulation of anaerobic and aerobic bacteria is preferred
