The role
As a Technical Delivery Manager for IWG Microservices Platform you will

  • Be responsible for the delivery of the development, project leadership, quality, and timely delivery of the microservices platform.
  • Identify key business objectives and provide solution recommendations.
  • Manage scope of projects from inception to closure. Define, develop and manage implementation schedules and project budgets.
  • Coordinate resources, prepare project teams for kickoff and ensure effective completion of project milestones, control project scope and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure project consultants are delivering to configuration, development, and methodology standards which you will help define.
  • Ensure delivery processes are efficient and cost effective.
  • Own and manage the microservice platform part of the IWG product offering
  • Build, manage and lead the core technical delivery team.
Role and responsibilities

  • Managing, coordinating, and ensuring collaboration on technology development within a team and across needed teams as needed.
  • Interacting with stakeholders to assure the right work is being done at the right time to achieve the business value objective; this includes: prioritization, sequencing, decomposition, addressing impediments and crossimpacts.
  • Identifying risks, issues, dependencies for the product.
  • Matching skills and resources required to produce the product.
  • Tracking and providing status of the product (except for status on value realization).
  • Provide guidance and maintain alignment with IT policies and standards
  • Understanding the limitations that are due to technology and what we are going to do about those limitations, and what the inherent risks are.
  • Understanding the technical boundaries between internal and external components that are present.
  • Removing tactical impediments and driving the resolution of issues while ensuring continued focus on the product, within teams and across teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, a Master's degree in information management or equivalent degree and/or experience.
  • You have at least 7 years of successful experience working in a delivery/program manager role delivering IT solutions.
  • 10+ years professional IT experience in an international organization.
  • Proven experience in a transition from a monolithic to a microservices architecture.
  • Expert in.
NET and the Azure stack.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Architecture.
  • Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle.
  • Experience in delivering APIs and Frontends as products.
  • Project planning and progress monitoring, including budget control and milestone control.
  • Creative problem solver, able to build contingency plans and handle stressful situation with professionalism.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the delivery teams. Handle operational issues related to delivery.
  • Become the Single point of contact for delivery and act as an advocate between the product delivery and the internal and external customers.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
