Head of Project Management

We are not looking for a Head of Project Management for Airbus GBS team.

Responsibilities - your mission

The main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Raising the understanding and acceptance of PM within the project/portfolio population by coaching and/or awareness sessions; challenging project leaders where needed
  • Shaping methods and tools in accordance to PM standards to the needs of the project
  • Supporting efficient communication and stakeholder management
  • Scheduling projects, performance follow up (e.g. milestones/quality gates), reporting throughout all project phases
  • Support and assist the team on management dimensions, e.g. any administrative matters such time mgmt, development plan, training plan, conflict mgmt.
  • Collect, propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Act as first point of contact of the functional management in the core countries (BX organisation) to share any issues / capacity / escalation / support / improvement ideas
  • Build the team spirit (e.g. organize team events, flow down of information)

You have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong facilitation skills for coaching, motivating & enabling the team;
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond in a constructive manner;
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and to manage conflicts;
  • Willingness and ability to handle changes on a daytoday basis;
  • Challenge mindset, ability to speak up; and, interested in deploying new ways of working,
  • Optional: Knowledge and experience in agile project management methodologies (Scrum, SAFe...)
  • Experience in stakeholder management, ability to engage skills of different functions of Negotiation level of English; French and/or German a plus
  • Customerfocused mindset
  • Strong team spirit, open and ability to communicate and work fully remotely with team based on different locations and out of hierarchical mindset (trustbased setup)
  • Team management experience
  • Experience in escalating issue resolution, team building, training and team support.
  • Good communication skills, rigor, conscientious
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, build strong cross functional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization,
  • Proven ability to work in a team and independently
  • Problem Solving mindset / Dynamic / Proactive
  • Google Suite tools knowledge
  • Languages: English capacity to interact daily with native English speakers.
