Network Engineer Position in Algarve at 3HB Hotels

The 3HB Hotels Group is currently seeking a Network Engineer (m/f) to join the IT team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage (LANs), (WANs), (Wi-Fi), and other network technologies;
  • Supervise the configuration and maintenance of network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, DNS servers, and telephone exchanges;
  • Monitor network performance and ensure continuous availability of critical network resources;
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure connectivity and network security needs are met;
  • Implement network security policies to protect confidential data and company systems;
  • Develop and implement contingency and recovery plans in case of network failures or disasters;
  • Evaluate new network technologies and products to enhance infrastructure efficiency and security;
  • Ensure updated documentation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Network Manager or in a similar position;
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and VPNs;
  • Experience in managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security tools;
  • Experience with telephone exchanges and Voice over IP (VoIP) communication systems;
  • Ability to handle network emergencies effectively;
  • Good understanding of Cyber Security best practices;
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP are advantageous.
