The
Companion Animals Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in driving the marketing strategies and initiatives for the companion animal division in Portugal.

This position is pivotal in a transformational period as the company introduces a strong new product to the market.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, provide leadership through influence, and oversee demand planning and financial forecasting.

While marketing operations fall under another department, this role will collaborate closely to ensure effective execution of marketing plans.

_ Responsibilities_

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to drive market penetration and sales growth for companion animal products in Portugal.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including sales, marketing operations, omnichannel, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of marketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for product positioning.
  • Lead the development of compelling marketing campaigns, including messaging, branding, and promotional materials, to effectively communicate product benefits to target audiences.
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to manage marketing projects and campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Utilize a leadershipbyinfluence approach to collaborate with crossfunctional teams, establishing strong working relationships to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Provide demand planning, financial forecasting and maintain budget discipline for marketing activities, monitoring return on investment (ROI) and adjusting strategies as required.
  • Analyze marketing performance metrics, collect customer feedback, and conduct market research to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, veterinary practices, and regulatory changes impacting companion animal products.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards in all marketing activities.

_ Qualifications_

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or a related health discipline, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing management, preferably in the companion animal industry.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey marketing strategies and build relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market research data and derive actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with demand planning, financial forecasting, budget management, and ROI analysis.
  • Knowledge of the companion animal market, including veterinary clinics, distributors, and key players.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and ability to develop innovative marketing strategies.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
