  • Ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of Commercial, and it's functions, as an integrated part of the business.
  • Strong documented leadership and managerial skills.
  • Experience of change management, large scale transformations and handling people consequences.
A day in your life with us

  • Is an active member of the Country Management team, taking a fully integrated crossfunctional view to secure the longterm business direction of the market and contributing business insight and functional expertise in order to secure the overall performance of the country
  • Leads and contributes tothe country retail direction, country business plan process, and business transformation and change agenda, with the Country Management team.
  • Leads the Commercial management team, and manages resources across the Commercial function (people and money), leading the prioritization, integration, and alignment of budget and initiatives with business plan and country Profit & Loss (P&L), in order to drive key goals/KPIs, including penetration, growth, brand perception, home furnishing interest and multichannel customer experience.
  • Provides strategic direction, operational steering and stimulates innovative thinking and entrepreneurship to all six Commercial functions to ensure local relevance across range, content and messaging, driving a seamless and coherent customer experience across channels.
  • Leads, coaches and develops a team of senior leaders in the six commercial functions, creating an open culture based on our values, in close cooperation with P&C.
  • Secure interdependence and cooperation with all relevant functions and stakeholders, to secure integration and common focus.
  • Ensure high quality execution of all People processes securing performing, competent and engaged coworkers.
  • Secures competitive position of IKEA in a multichannel retail environment, in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders (e.g. CFF, Digital, Sustainability, Communications).
  • Embrace the digital transformation in the market and be a digital ambassador in the function.
  • Secure growth, low cost and sustainable profitability in accordance with our overall purpose, retail direction and our financial strategy
  • Leverages the power of the brand, the home furnishing expertise and the uniqueness of the range to secure IKEA stands out as a reference and customer destination for its unique home furnishing experience.
  • Actively engage with, and share the responsibility in, the delivery of the Ingka sustainability strategy to enable the ongoing transformation and growth of the IKEA business;
  • Reviews performance and drives business decisions to meet yearly goals and secures performance excellence throughout the year (in cooperation with BNOF function).
