Kantar's Worldpanel division is searching for a methodical, collaborative and knowledgeable Global Data Protection and Compliance Lead to join our teams - this is an exciting new role and an incredible opportunity to be a part of our exciting vision for the future

Role's Mission


As part of the Global Specialists Team in Worldpanel Operations, and reporting to the Senior Director of Data Acquisition, this is a hands-on role leading Worldpanel's data protection compliance activities globally - ensuring we continue to operate within all regulatory requirements in this space and to ensure our products and solutions are compliant.


As the Global Data Protection and Compliance Lead of Worldpanel Operations you will lead and guide a global community of regional champions to ensure the organization is able to understand and react to changes in regulations and requirements in a timely manner, and to ensure our data management practices are designed with protection and compliance considerations in mind.


You will collaborate directly with Worldpanel and Kantar Technology and Security teams to ensure our data practices are compliant, while also ensuring training materials are available and updated for the wider global Operations community to ensure there is a global understanding of our individual and collective obligations for data management.

Your Key Outcomes will be

  • Lead the global community of champions to ensure we have data protection and compliance support in all regions. Collaborate with regional leads to keep this team robust and relevant.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of data protection (end to end) across the organisation, aligned with the broader Kantar stance.
  • Regularly review data protection and compliance processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet legislation, regulations, and guidelines. Design and deliver changes that align with the Kantar response.
  • Ensure Worldpanel documentation and practices continue to reflect both Kantar Guidance as well as legal regulations with regards to all matters of privacy and data management across teams
  • Work with key stakeholders to maintain privacy policies of Kantar Worldpanel panels and ensure these are reviewed annually.
  • Coordinate (in conjunction with Kantar compliance) KPIs regarding compliance and data privacy. Create and maintain a reporting cadence against these KPIs and any followup actions.
  • Maintain key registers for tracking and reporting data privacy and compliance regulations and their jurisdictions.
With Your Key Stakeholders You Will

  • Work with the Kantar Data Protection and Compliance teams to ensure Worldpanel understands and responds to changes to local and global legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Kantar Worldpanel Global IT Security and Risk owner to ensure systems and data are protected and compliant.
  • Collaborate with Compliance Leads and Legal teams to define, deliver, and maintain data protection and compliance processes for Worldpanel, in keeping with Kantar policies. Secure approval for changes where required from Kantar Legal.
  • Coordinate (in conjunction with Kantar Compliance) KPIs regarding compliance and data privacy. Create and maintain a reporting cadence against these KPIs and any followup actions.
  • Collaborate with Worldpanel Commercial and Product team to ensure that our commercial offer is consistent with data compliance and privacy rules.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to ensure supplier contracts comply with data protection and privacy regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Key Capabilities

Your background will ideally look like this

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Computer Science or related fields.
  • Minimum of 24 years of previous professional experience in the domain of information security, data protection and compliance, either regionally or globally.
  • Expert knowledge in data protection laws and practices with indepth understanding of GDPR.
  • Full business proficiency in English (C1 Level Minimum).
