The Planning & Control Global Unit of
EDP Energias de Portugal is recruiting an experienced Planning & Control Specialist to join its FP&A team.

The Corporate FP&A team drives comprehensive financial reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis to deliver insights that support decision making in pursuit of
EDP Group strategic goals.

The Corporate FP&A team reports to the CFO and works closely with the Board of Directors, the Business Platforms, as well as the Corporate Development, Investor Relations and other Finance teams to develop the global view of the financial performance of the Group.


The role of this position includes:

  • Support the Group's Efficiency Program assuring the implementation of its full framework.
  • Support the coordination and execution of
    EDP Group's Efficiency processes under Forecasting, Budgeting, Business Planning and Control processes, as well as adhoc financial analysis.


This position offers the chance to work with a broad range of stakeholders across
EDP Group, develop a global view of the business, and provide analysis and insights that impact the decision-making of a company that is at the forefront of the energy transition.


Main responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the process of closing accounts, ensuring its accuracy and analyzing it with special focus on efficiency performance;
  • Proactively monitor the Group's Efficiency Program;
  • Partner with Business Units to accompany their ZBB programs;
  • Prepare monthly reports, with analysis of OPEX deviations vs Budget;
  • Conduct adhoc financial analysis and benchmarking that support the establishment of Efficiency Guidelines and targets by the Executive Board of Directors;
  • Support the execution of the Budget and Business Plan of the
    EDP Group, supporting the consolidation processes, analysis and challenges of the Business Units' exercises;
  • Innovate the
    EDP Group's financial reporting, making it more automatic, attractive and dynamic, participating actively in the
    EDP Group's digital transformation process;
  • Support the process of reporting quarterly information to the market.

Looking for people with the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering or other area provided you have relevant experience for the role;
  • Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in similar functions, and/or auditing, consulting, engineering and data analytics will be valued;
  • High analytical skills, critical thinking, rigor, pragmatism and focus on problem solving;
  • Ability to learn, extract and process information from internal systems and new tools;
  • Good communication and interpersonal/collaborative skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and knowledge of information systems valued (Power BI/Query);
  • Mastering of Portuguese and English (mandatory).
