About the Position
We are seeking a curious Data Analytics Manager who thrives on cross-functional collaboration, possesses a deep-seated passion for data and analytics, and is keen on enhancing operational efficiencies and facilitating informed product decisions. The ideal candidate will have a quantitative or technical background, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of leveraging analytics to comprehend and influence business strategies.

As a vital member of our centralized Analytics team, you will collaborate extensively with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing, serving as a data-driven advisor and strategic partner. Your role will involve crafting data tables within our Business Logic framework, developing dashboards to monitor trends and performance, conducting analyses to drive actionable insights, and shaping the strategic direction of ThousandEyes.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Analytics work streams into the Product roadmap to facilitate ongoing insight discovery and opportunity identification throughout the Product and Customer lifecycle
  • Cultivate a culture of experimentation by championing continuous discovery and hypothesis-driven development. Experiment, measure, iterate, repeat
  • Assume a Senior role within the team, overseeing new recruit onboarding and mentoring junior analysts, while influencing the trajectory of the Analytics team
  • Generate tangible deliverables in the form of data tables within the ThousandEyes Business Logic layer, insightful dashboards, and analyses to inform decision-making processes
  • Champion best practices within the data analytics team to enhance operational efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree with a focus on quantitative disciplines (e.g., Business, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience
  • Over 4 years of experience in complex problem-solving, offering practical business insights and recommendations by leveraging extensive data sets from diverse sources
  • Exceptional team player capable of spearheading complex projects, implementing data best practices, and mentoring fellow data analysts
  • Proficient in SQL, data warehousing, and data modeling
  • Strong aptitude for problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, proactive attitude, and a thirst for continuous learning
  • Hands-on mentality, with the ability to deliver results swiftly and work independently
  • Effective cross-functional and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – adept at driving initiatives forward amidst uncertain circumstances
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, Chartio, Looker

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in product analysis within SaaS companies
  • Proficiency with Python (or equivalent scripting language)
