What's the role about?


The Procurement Specialist will report to the Procurement Manager and support the creation, expedition, and query management of purchase orders.


What will you do?

  • Generate Purchase Orders according to sourcing and fulfilment instructions within quality and time constraints;
  • Track Purchase Order status to ensure security of supply and provide business stakeholders with status updates;
  • Resolve issues with regards to PO delivery / Invoice Exceptions and provide feedback to the relevant business stakeholders as required;
  • Act as the first point of contact for suppliers ́ issues and complaints and coordinate responses (with handoffs to Purchasing for complex queries);
  • Support Local / Program / Group Purchasing teams with the Sourcing Process by:
  • Coordinating the Supplier Certification (RFI) and RFQ processes using procurement tools such as iValua
  • Working with business stakeholders to gather relevant documents for the RFQ
  • Issuing documents to suppliers
  • Managing supplier queries
  • Checking RFI / RFQ responses for completeness
  • Implement improvement action plans to ensure smooth operations;
  • Establish a continuous improvement mindset, through:
  • Build constructive and effective relationships with cross functional teams;
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Being a Team player;
  • Adherence to service levels;
  • Adherence to policies and procedures.

What are we looking for?

  • College or University degree;
  • Relevant experience in procurement (such as P2P transaction processing and RFQ Management);
  • SSC/GBS experience is an advantage;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Knowledge of procurement tools;
  • Fluency in English.
