The role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership and Oversight: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the general ledger function, ensuring financial reporting and compliance with IFRS and other applicable standards.
  • Team Structure and Development: Coach and coordinates the team leaders, overseeing the teams, ensuring they have the necessary support and guidance. Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development within the finance department.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Process and

System Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process enhancements and system implementations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control within the general ledger function.


  • Audit and

Internal Controls:

Act as liaison for external and internal audit activities, facilitating the audit process and ensuring the preparation of required documentation.

Oversee the development and enforcement of internal controls and policies related to financial reporting and record-keeping.

  • Ensure high standard deliverables as, among others, timely tasks performance, high quality reconciliations, KPI achievement. Collaborate with the head of department, the GPO and the other departments to improve the processes and policies and design new KPIs

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or related field. Master's degree or CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a finance or accounting team, including experience managing team leaders.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
  • Adaptability, problemsolving, and strategic thinking as well as capability of manage the complexity of a transforming organization and a multicultural environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading process improvement initiatives and adopting technology solutions to enhance financial operations.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proven track record of developing highperforming teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in advanced ERP systems, Blackline and accounting software.
