The Position
The Specialist will collaborate with a team of approximately 40 professional StS colleagues at the Center, responsible for overseeing end-to-end StS processes. Furthermore, the StS Specialist will engage daily with our global BPO partner who manages StS Transactional services for Organon across all global regions.
The Specialist will be involved in various StS process areas including Purchase Order Management, Invoice Processing, Settlements, & Employee Expense Management. Proficiency in as many of these StS processes as possible is advantageous. The Specialist will also provide operational assistance for vendor master data.
Position Responsibilities:
- Execute services following agreed Service Level Agreements, Controls, and Governance.
- Assist in mitigating process risks by adhering to policies and internal controls, ensuring compliance with StS guidelines, and executing process and SOX controls accurately and promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate standard operating procedures and related internal control documentation.
- Prioritize process enhancement, aiding in the implementation of best practices and project management discipline.
- Collaborate with both internal and external auditors to facilitate successful audit outcomes and adherence to US GAAP and company policies.
- Support training initiatives and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of work outputs.
- Engage with process owners and other GSS Center colleagues to identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements through continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed professional process documentation such as global SOPs and Regional Work Instructions in coordination with the StS Global Process Owner.
Support Internal Stakeholders:
- Provide a 'world-class service' experience for vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Nurture relationships through collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field linked to StS.
- Up to 3 years of experience in StS processes.
- Proficiency in English and additional fluency in a European language besides Portuguese is advantageous.
- Experience collaborating within regional or global teams. (Preferred: Experience launching or managing a Shared Service Center).
- Experience in Internal or External Audit is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in large teams.
- Strong skills in mathematics, analytics, queries, and systems, with proven experience in data management and MS Office.
- Demonstrated capability in maintaining financial controls.
- Experience with projects focused on continuous process improvement resulting in significant time or cost savings.
- Detail-oriented, delivering precise outputs, and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with US GAAP is desirable.
- Solid financial background with expertise in accounting processes is valued.
- Proficiency in SAP R/3 required. (Preferred: familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA).
- Experience in shared service environments, regional roles, and involvement in global initiatives is preferred.
