Main Function:
Managing and maintaining all IT operational applications and systems , mainly MXP modules, PBX and IPTV.
Maintaining shoreside DB and application servers based in Azure cloud.
As this is a shoreside position based in Porto, a remote access to all systems onboard and shoreside will be provided.
Position Requirements & Skills- Minimum High school graduate
- An Associate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Essential language is English is mandatory. Ability to communicate in other languages is an advantage.
- Experience as an IT specialist, support, DB admin role.
- Experience with MXP or similar systems is preferable.
- Able to work with DB servers such as MS SQL.
- Wide detailed experience and knowledge of systems/programs including Linux, MS Office, Windows (desktop and server), O365, troubleshooting and investigating end-user errors.
- Experience with TCP/IP based networks including basic switching, routing, and basic firewall technology.
- Good knowledge with VMware technology including vShere, vMotion, Veeam backup/retore, snapshots, creating VM machines, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge with technologies and controllers.
- Basic knowledge about IPTV and UPD broadcasting
- Basic knowledge about VSAT communications and Starlink is a plus.
- High degree of efficiency to manage the continual integrated information network.
- Awareness of basic Cyber Security knowledge and Cyber Risk Management
- Basic knowledge about Microsoft WSUS, DNS, DHCP, AD & GPOs
- Strong knowledge dealing with antivirus SW such as KAV Check
- Basic knowledge of GDPR rules and data protection.
- Basic project management skills such as planning, time management and change management.
- Excellent organizational and planning capabilities
- High interpersonal competency
- Above average skills in tactful problem handling.
- Flexibility and open mind to be able to work in a multicultural environment
- Impeccable ethics
- Good written and verbal communication, able to speak in public in an efficient way.
- Skills to quickly assess and investigate incidents and make quick and correct decisions under pressure.

- Able to work in collaboration with all departments in shoreside to assure the operational applications are always in good condition to maintain the business continuty.
