We're in search of a Logistics Delivery Specialist to become part of our Supply Chain crew. Your primary objective will be to ensure top-notch delivery services that meet local customer expectations and align with Nespresso's global standards and guidelines. You'll also play a role in driving inventive and sustainable operational solutions to gain a competitive edge for Nespresso and its customers, managing third-party transportation providers for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) segments.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LOGISTICS DELIVERY SPECIALIST

Cultivate excellence in Transportation and Distribution Management

  • Set strategies with the Physical Logistics Coordinator to optimize the distribution network within the Market/Region
  • Ensure exceptional service levels for customer deliveries (B2B and B2C)
  • Introduce efficient and innovative delivery services
  • Assist in procurement activities, such as Request for Quotation, with potential distribution suppliers
  • Act as the main point of contact to manage relationships with delivery providers
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers
  • Handle seasonal fluctuations and potential capacity challenges
  • Oversee the return goods and refusal process appropriately
  • Streamline and monitor the capsule recycling process in alignment with Quality & Safety, Health, and Environment standards
  • Establish and track key performance indicators
  • Foster the development and adoption of best practices
  • Foster collaboration with Marketing and commercial teams
  • Monitor and analyze Supply Chain Complaints and devise action plans

Ensure Adherence to Regulations

  • Collaborate with the Technical & Quality Department to ensure full compliance of all distribution operations with Food Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Safety regulations;
  • Uphold compliance with Nestlé Corporate Business Principles and Supply Chain & Procurement Policies;
  • Ensure compliance with Nestlé's regulations on work conditions & employment and all HR policies

Oversee Finances

  • Manage the budget allocated for Delivery services;
  • Propose projects to reduce costs based on expenditure analysis and market trends while maintaining service levels;
  • Offer transparency on the costs associated with delivery services
  • Regularly manage, report, and provide insights (weekly/monthly) on business KPIs related to delivery, logistics operations, action plans, and costs. Share relevant KPIs with the Nespresso Organization

Nurture a Culture of Continuous Improvement

  • Organize the team structure, including third-party suppliers, in accordance with the operational plan and international standards; Promote alignment, lead by example, cultivate an open culture, and champion our values sustainably (Drive change sustainably)
  • Enhance performance: empower and support team members, give and receive feedback, assess performance, consistently challenge the existing structure to ensure effectiveness and results
  • Establish and promote best practices using the NCE methodology with stakeholders (CRC; B2B; B2C and 3PL)

WHAT WILL LEAD TO YOUR SUCCESS

  • University degree in Supply Chain/Logistics (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics and distribution operations within the Direct-to-Consumer business model (logistics, distribution)
  • Exposure to collaborative business development projects in logistics and distribution, having led projects and initiatives
  • Familiarity with systems used in logistics and distribution processes and decision-making support
  • Proven track record in managing relationships with external providers for warehousing, equipment, and/or transport
  • Proficiency in English (desired)
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (especially Excel) and SAP
  • Strong team player with effective planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Superior stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • High adaptability and resilience
  • Enthusiasm for engaging with customers, both internally and externally
