Procurement/ Princing Manager Iberia

Transitex, a global logistics operator specialising in door-to-door transport services, with a network of offices in the world's main markets, is looking for a Procurement / Pricing Manager Iberia, to be based in its Lisbon office.
Main functions include:
Developing and implementing pricing strategies that increase profitability. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, capacity development, cost optimization, increasing revenue through pricing strategies and, consequently, improving profitability.
Work closely with other teams to keep a close eye on cost movements. Working in collaboration with sales and operations teams to meet deadlines and provide accurate responses.
Support the improvement of relationships with carriers, optimize the transport network and enable a single supply to the customer base.
Building strong relationships with shippers and consolidators in the region.Create a pricing policy, recommend changes to the pricing structure/methodology and apply consistent operational processes and procedures to implement price changes and achieve maximum efficiency.
Identify opportunities based on market trends and sector conditions.Implement the carrier's strategy on the Iberian Peninsula, as outlined by the regional FCL and LCL Product Managers. Monitor and continuously improve compliance with key carrier policies.
Engage in competitive rate negotiations for spot business or rates that deviate from negotiated standard rates, ensuring timely execution.
Carry out rate negotiations with carriers and consolidators regarding all sales orders/network agents/competitors or any high potential business from the Iberian Peninsula.
Manage tariffs, including local charges, customs clearance, trucking for ocean freight and freight charges or surcharges as required.Create reports reflecting project metrics and status, objectives and obstacles.
Communicate conclusions effectively to the company's relevant departments.
Experience and qualifications required:
Completed higher education and 5 to 7 years' proven experience in a maritime procurement role in a logistics/freight forwarding company or in a maritime freight forwarder.
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Versatility and ability to keep up with market developments.
Strong problem-solving skills, motivation and teamwork orientation.
Strong operational and commercial knowledge of the Iberian market.
