We are just right looking for you We are the best company to work with and work for, so we are offering a Sea Logistics Field Sales position in our Sea Logistics Team, based in Porto.

Your Role

Sea Logistics Sales is responsible for generating new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME customers. They have a thorough, up-to-date, and in-depth understanding of the trade lane (s) in terms of the geography of the trade, and the service offerings, such as sailings, transit times, reliability, specific country documentation regulations, local standards, operational requirements, as well as the type of industry/goods/commodity traded on the particular routes.
They spend most of the time prospecting and hunting for new business, and working hand in hand with the Customer Care Personnel (customer care tasks) on the same customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • To prospect and generate new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME;
  • To make pricing decisions in alignment with the Customers Care Managers;
  • To prepare quotations using our online tools and submit our proposal to the customers;
  • To demonstrate superior Sea Logistics product and trade knowledge;
  • To deliver presentations about our main Sea Logistics products;
  • To monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products;
  • To report customer complaints to the Customer Care Team;
  • To align with the Customer Care Team when onboarding new customers and to provide robust and complete content in the Customer Promise/CCL handover form;
  • To use CoreLOG (CRM) to maintain and update customer information;
  • To perform the related CRM tasks/activities;
  • To regularly review the customers' portfolio with the CCL managers and Customer Care Team;
  • To close customer deals

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline;
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the freight forwarding industry with a focus on sea logistics sales;
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills;
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory.
