Senior Java Software Engineer

About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join an Agile team building scalable, cloud-native applications. You will work with Java and Spring Boot, design and deliver microservices, and contribute to modern architectures deployed in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires strong backend engineering fundamentals, experience with API design, and the ability to build reliable services in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot;Build and evolve microservices-based architectures;Design and implement secure and scalable REST APIs;Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes in cloud environments (GCP/AWS);Work with SQL-based data sources and support integration with other storage solutions;Apply Agile practices and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams;Contribute to technical decisions, code quality, and continuous improvement;Implement reactive services when required using WebFlux / Mono. Required Experience & Skills:5+ years of backend development experience with Java;Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot;Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related services;Solid understanding of microservices architecture;Experience with Kubernetes;Strong experience in API design and RESTful services;Experience working in Agile development environments;Experience with reactive Java (WebFlux / Mono);English B2Nice to HaveFamiliarity with workflow engines such as Camunda (or similar)Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker)Experience with cloud scheduled jobs / functions / activitiesProficient with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
