About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join an Agile team building scalable, cloud-native applications. You will work with Java and Spring Boot , design and deliver microservices , and contribute to modern architectures deployed in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) . This role requires strong backend engineering fundamentals, experience with API design, and the ability to build reliable services in a collaborative environment. Localização: Braga ou Coimbra.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot; Build and evolve microservices-based architectures; Designand implement secure and scalable REST APIs; Deployand operate services on Kubernetes in cloud environments (GCP/AWS); Work with SQL-based data sources and support integration with other storage solutions; Apply Agile practices and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams; Contribute to technical decisions, code quality, and continuous improvement; Implement reactive services when required using WebFlux / Mono. Required Experience & Skills: 5+ years of backend development experience with Java; Stronghands-on experience with Spring Boot; Provenexperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related services; Solid understanding of microservices architecture; Experience with Kubernetes; Strongexperience in API design and RESTful services; Experience working in Agile development environments; Experience with reactive Java (WebFlux / Mono); English B2 Nice to Have Familiarity with workflow engines such as Camunda (or similar) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker ) Experience with cloud scheduled jobs / functions / activities Proficient with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
