Position: Machine Learning Engineer/Data Science Location: Lisbon | Hybrid What You’ll Do Design & Deploy: Build, train, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions into production. Innovate: Fine-tune and extend Large Language Models (LLMs), working with both open-source and commercial models. Optimize: Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to improve model efficiency and accuracy. Analyze: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering to unlock better model performance. Build Generative AI: Develop advanced AI solutions for content creation, process automation, and innovation. Apply Traditional ML: Use decision trees, SVMs, neural networks, and other ML algorithms to solve diverse problems. Collaborate: Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders. Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality AI solutions through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring. Document & Share: Maintain clear technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and reproducibility. About You Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning and AI development. Strong experience with Generative AI, including model training, fine-tuning, and deployment. Hands-on experience with open-source and commercial LLMs. Proficient in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face. Solid understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. Familiar with traditional ML approaches (decision trees, SVMs, neural networks, etc.). Experience deploying ML solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and excellent communication abilities. Fluent in English (French is a plus). Nice to Have Knowledge of Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF). Experience with prompt engineering.
