PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR Exide Technologies ( is a leading provider of innovative and sustainable battery storage solutions for the automotive and industrial applications. In Portugal Exide Technologies is located in Castanheira do Ribatejo and we are looking for a Production Supervisor. The position is expected to ensure the flow of the production process, ensuring quality, quantity, costs, delivery times and safety. He leads at least one of the production teams, interacts with the other departments that are involved in the production process and participates in the implementation of preventive and corrective actions. The position is critical to the plant's operations and is the main link between the Manufacturing Manager and the direct workforce. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCES: · Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or similar (preferred) · Professional experience of at least 10 years in an industrial environment. · Leadership and team management ability. · Consolidated experience in management of large teams. · Results oriented. High level of execution and agility. · Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making. · Good communication skills. · Planning, organizing and time management. · English is mandatory. · Good knowledge of IT tools and MS-Office. · Lean and Continuous Improvement tools. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES: . Lead and manage a group of Team Leaders. This includes managing, delegating, training and motivating this group who, in turn, will manage the shift production operators. . Monitoring the need for raw material in production. . Focus on workers safety and predicting the consequences for the environment. . Organization of the daily work of operators. . Control the production reports. . Monitor the 5S and continuous improvement tools in the production area. . Manage the production area and any related projects to ensure efficiency. . Coordinate the inventories of the area of responsibility. . Ensure the best quality of products and compliance with the specifications of the production process. . Organize and plan production programs to ensure the achievement of these objectives. . Coordinate the management of equipment and human resources according to the production flow. . Identification of improvement opportunities. . Develop and execute improvement actions.
