  2. Drafting and posting digital media content in support of the UK Government's priorities in Portugal.
  3. Supporting the Communications Officer to design and deliver internal communications (for example posters).
  4. Arranging external and internal meetings for team members.
  5. Working closely with the Ambassador's office to coordinate key information across the section and the wider Embassy, including stakeholder contacts and invitations to the Embassy's largest-scale events.
  6. Providing ad hoc administrative support to the wider team including stationery orders, and travel/transport bookings.
  7. Contributing to a positive working culture in the UK's Portugal Network, including through membership of a corporate committee.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  1. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Portuguese (C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
  2. Experience managing multiple competing tasks by demonstrating strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  3. Self-management skills with proven ability to manage, plan, and prioritise tasks and workload.
  4. Good judgement, and experience of working proactively, independently and forward-planning.
  5. Excellent communications skills, being able to analyse and present written, verbal and quantitative information clearly and concisely.
  6. A strong record of teamwork, with the ability to work collaboratively across the Embassy.
  7. A desire to learn.
  8. Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.

Good to have:
