This role is fundamental to ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects, where you will provide expertise in monitoring progress and validating construction schedules.As a Project Controls Manager/Planner based on-site, you will be responsible for adhering to project timelines, overseeing daily and weekly site meetings, and implementing effective strategies to ensure project milestones are met. Your exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail will greatly contribute to our project management team's success, ensuring that deliverables are achieved efficiently and in alignment with client expectations.ResponsibilitiesDaily and Weekly Site Meetings: Attend and actively participate in daily and weekly meetings to assess current project progress, identify potential issues, and facilitate discussions regarding work plans and scheduling. Your effective communication skills will be vital in collaborating with contractors and stakeholders.Monitor Construction Progress: Track and report on the progress of construction activities, ensuring compliance with timelines and quality standards. You will be responsible for documenting any discrepancies and proposing actionable solutions to keep the project on schedule.Validate Construction Schedules: Review and validate the construction schedules provided by contractors, ensuring they align with the overall project timeline. This involves detailed assessments of resources, sequences of operations, and work scope to ensure feasibility.Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports to project stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and timelines. Your findings will play a crucial role in decision-making processes and project adjustments.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project. Your collaborative approach will help to foster a cohesive team environment.Risk Management: Identify and analyze potential risks associated with project schedules and progress. Develop mitigation strategies to address these risks and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.Documentation: Ensure that all project control documents are completed accurately and maintained in accordance with company standards and protocols. This includes updating schedule logs, tracking changes, and ensuring that records are easily accessible.Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by assessing current project control processes and suggesting enhancements that can lead to better efficiency and effectiveness.QualificationsExperience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, specifically in a construction environment. Proven experience as a planner or contractor engineer in large-scale projects is highly desirable.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools. Familiarity with construction methodologies and industry standards is essential.Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. Professional certifications in project management or scheduling (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) will be considered an asset.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
