Job Description Summary This role is key for preparing the company to make enhanced and assurance-ready regulatory disclosures across all material ESG (environmental, social, and governance) topics. A critical focus is our readiness for the EU CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), with the UK SDR / ISSB regulations also in scope as they are finalized. For CSRD, the deadline to be assurance ready is Dec 2025 (for CSRD reports in February 2026).
The role is an interim position, through March 2026.

Responsibilities You will project manage work to deliver assurance-ready disclosures meeting the CSRD and UK SDR, including the subject reporting standards (ESRS / ISSB), EU Taxonomy and Report Tagging requirements, on time, on budget, and in full (by Q4 2025).You will be responsible for engaging across the entire company (sites & global functions) to ensure data and process/control owners are reviewing, updating, and implementing data collection, control, and governance processes, and ensuring our public disclosures are assurance-ready and will meet regulatory requirements.You will ensure documented reporting processes are in place that ensure Elementis remains compliant with non-financial disclosures in future years.You will structure the project, develop timelines with key internal stakeholders, and hold them accountable for their delivery of any required actions.While 'simplification through standardisation' should be the prime approach across locations, you will identify when localised or specialised context should be accommodated while remaining consistent with required standardised principles.You will identify the need for, and work with, external subject-matter experts as necessary.You will aid communication and training of the project and context to different teams.You will report progress and challenges regularly to the Project Director (Sustainability Director) and Project Sponsor (Chief Financial Officer).Job Competencies Action orientated: Taking on new challenges with enthusiasm and dynamism is key to successfully delivering on time impacts of the project.Plans and aligns: Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with project milestones.Balancing stakeholders: Being able to balance and manage a wide range of stakeholders in multiple locations and functions is critical to the project delivery.Ensures accountability: Holding oneself and others accountable for meeting commitments is crucial to successful project delivery.Decision making You will have the authority to make decisions related to the planning of workstreams and milestones, and daily management of the project, subject to the overall deadline. You will have the authority, in collaboration with the subject owner and other stakeholders, to decide how best to implement any process changes (e.g., adjust a global IT platform, or test an updated process in one location before introducing globally, etc.). You will recommend if additional resources are needed, and strategies to recover if progress slips.Additional Job Description Technical Knowledge and Skills Strong understanding of CSRD and ISSB regulations.Familiarity with non-financial reporting and data collection/classification.Experience leading complex global projects for process improvement activities.Intermediate understanding of assurance processes, including ISAE3000.Position Requirements Education: Commensurate with experience.Experience: ~15 years, recent experience project managing 2 or more substantial (global) change management projects, especially related to regulatory compliance for non-financial disclosures. Experience also including a departmental or key process leadership role is a bonus, but not required.IT Skills: Proficiency with Office 365 applications, including project management tools.Language Skills: English fluent; other languages a bonus.Working arrangements: Role is based in our Porto office (minimum 3 days per week in office).Travelling required: Travel to other Elementis sites as required.
