Senior Specialist Sourcing

A multinational product development and manufacturing company undergoing rapid growth is looking for a Senior Specialist Sourcing to join the team in Portugal. This person will collaborate with internal teams on direct procurement to support project quotation and sample delivery to achieve the most competitive price, quality and lead time for materials or related supply, according to project requirements and manager guidance.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain supplier database in SAP to ensure accuracy of records;Prepare and create orders for sample and new project, ensuring completion of all processes as scheduled.Responsible for quotation and development of new suppliers based on competitive price, good quality, best lead time, and service for new projects.Work with Quality and NPD teams to assess suppliers based on commercial, quality, social responsibility, C-TPAT, Engineering, Production, and Logistics, as appropriate.Participate in supplier management with PMC and Quality in respect of production capacity requirements, on-time delivery, and production quality.Update and upkeep supplier database, ensuring accuracy on an ongoing basis.Achieve cost savings towards the target cost level and follow through on quotations for new projects and provide feedback quickly.
