The ideal candidate will have experience operating a similar scale organisation, to effectively navigate the business structure and make the impact required, with an employee size in the range of 1000 - 5,000. This global manufacturing organisation has experienced exponential growth in recent years, leading to an exciting transformation period within the procurement function, as they look to move towards best-in-class.
They are seeking a highly experienced strategic procurement leader to head up their procurement function.
You will be leading a large team with 5 direct reports (Procurement Directors)
You will have significant experience within a relevant indsutry (FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Contract Manufacturing, Chemicals) etc. and be interested in joining an evolving procurement function, working closely with the leadership team to develop and imbed new processes.
Role responsibilities: You will be responsible for all procurement spend and activity across both directs & indirects, in addition to wider transformation agendaWorking closely with the Overall Supply Chain Senior Director to set and deliver procurement strategies during an exciting period of transformation within a growing businessAs a Senior leader and the procurement department head, your direct reports will be at a leadership level themselves. You will effectively ensure they are developing and implementing procurement strategies and managing their teams successfullyPartner with senior stakeholders across the business to develop long term strategic category plans across direct/indirect spend.Bring market knowledge on innovative procurement strategies to help evolve the procurement function in line with market trends and technologiesEffectively imbed a supplier relationship and contract management policy Key Experience Required: A strong procurement leadership background within a global matrix organisation is required. Expeirence operating in an organisation of a similar scale is required, understanding the dynamics of a b2b firmExperience across both direct & indirect spend is requiredExperienced in developing and imbedding strategic procurement policies, within a changing environment at a leadership levelExperience within a relevant regulated industry is requiredExcellent communication skills to effectively engage cross functional stakeholder groupsStrong people management experience of senior staff This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation during an exciting period of growth & transformation.
