Industrial Engineering Trainee Olympus Medical Products Portugal (OMPP) | Medical SystemsOlympus Medical Products Portugal is a subsidiary of the Olympus Group. Its core business is the repair of optical and digital equipment's of the brand, offering to Olympus customers repair services that meet highest demands in terms of speed, approachability, reliability and consistency.Your responsibilities As an Industrial Engineering Trainee you will contribute to the improvement of our Operation's KPIs, focusing on lead time, efficiency, and productivity.Your main tasks will include:Conducting time and motion studies to identify areas for optimization.Utilizing line balancing tools to enhance workflow efficiency.Identifying and mitigating the waste within our processes.Implementing layout changes and workstation redesigns for improved productivity.Throughout this internship, you will work towards achieving the following goals:Enhancing operational efficiency by reducing lead time and eliminating waste.Improving productivity through strategic process enhancements.Gaining practical experience in implementing LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.Studies in Industrial Management Engineering or a related field.A keen interest in LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement practices.Knowledge of problem-solving tools and project leadership skills.Familiarity with process control principles.Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Eligibility for an IEFP internship.Work in a multicultural and diverse environmentInitial and continuous trainingDay off on your birthdayAccess to Linkedin Learning About Olympus Medical Systems The Medical Systems Division represents Olympus' largest business domain and is the global market and technology leader for medical endoscopes.
