Strategy & Market Intelligence Manager - Porto

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to support the growth of development activities within Voltalia' s international perimeter. This person will manage the Strategy and Market Intelligence team to deliver in-depth policy and market analysis, contribute towards market forecasts and develop our business strategies in key geographies. These will be the main responsibilities:

- Providing timely and relevant insights into market intelligence and policy, and translating that into useful strategy;
- Building and maintaining a regular dialogue with the Country Managers and Development teams to understand their needs and priorities;
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with national and international stakeholders and dialogue with industry groups and customers, through cooperation with Power Sales;
- Preparing written briefing notes on significant policy matters and deep dive analysis on markets or themes, and communicating conclusions;
- Identifying and analysing opportunities for medium and long-term positioning in a market;
- Defining and facilitating new country strategies, and supporting management in the execution of the agreed strategy;
- Anticipating and following up on potential grant and funding opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have/ be:

- Master's degree in Business, Political & Social Science, Engineering;
- Proven work experience as a policy and/ or market analyst;
- Proven work experience leading and managing teams;
- Strong knowledge of the renewable energy sector in Europe and Africa;
- Knowledge of broader international and trans-national trends in energy and business;
- Experience in engaging multi-disciplinary stakeholders in an international environment;
- Experience in translating policy insights into business strategy;
- Experience in communicating complex subjects in an accessible and compelling manner;
- Experience in reporting and presenting data and analysis to decision-makers;
- Excellent communication skills in English (French, Portuguese, or Spanish is a plus);
- This role can be based in Paris and Porto.
